Mike Platt, the co-founder of London-based BlueCrest Capital Management, has extended his lead as the UK's richest hedge fund manager, having added £700m to his fortune over the last 12 months.
Platt, who focuses on managing his own wealth rather than third-party funds, topped the ranking of hedge fund managers in the 2019 Rich List, published by The Sunday Times on May 12.
