Lloyds paid Black staff almost 20% less than colleagues

'We recognise that specific groups face difficult and often nuanced challenges in being themselves at work'

Black employees at FTSE 100 Lloyds Banking Group are paid 19.7% less than their colleagues, the bank’s first ethnicity pay gap report showed.

Lloyds's 11 December report is the first from a UK bank and comes as the City reconsiders its role in promoting ethnic diversity internally and externally.
