London Metal Exchange chief executive Matthew Chamberlain is leaving the 145-year-old exchange after nearly a decade for the world of digital assets.

Chamberlain, who will remain in post until 30 April, is headed for the chief executive role at Komainu — a joint venture in 2018 between Nomura, digital asset investment firm CoinShares, and digital asset security company Ledger. The firm is a regulated institutional-grade digital asset custody services provider safeguarding over US$5bn in assets, headquartered in Jersey in the Channel Islands.
