London mayor Sadiq Khan lambasts government for ‘era of austerity’ leading to inevitable cuts

The government is “imposing a new era of austerity on public services” across London, mayor Sadiq Khan said.
Khan said major cuts are inevitable unless ministers “adequately” fund the capital with a “significant financial package” in a 27 January statement.
