Figures published by Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions (DTLR) have shown a 30% rise in fund management costs for inner London local authority pension schemes, despite an overall downward trend in fees.

The inner London schemes paid on average £102.79 (€167.82) per scheme member last year, compared to only £78.47 in 1999/00.
