Lord Mervyn Davies, former trade minister and ex-chairman of Standard Chartered Bank, has taken on his second senior position with a financial services firm this year.

He has joined US PineBridge Investments, the asset management business formerly owned by AIG, as non-executive chairman. He joined New York-based private equity firm Corsair Capital earlier this year as a vice chairman and partner.
