Peter Scales, chief executive of the London Pension Fund Authority, is to step down at the end of this year after 15 years at the helm of the £3.5bn (€5.1bn) fund.

Executive search firm Odgers Ray & Berndtson has been appointed and the fund said it hoped to have a successor in place by the summer.
