The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has recruited Ian Homan from Barclays Capital to fill a new position overseeing IT projects for the exchange, as it tries to keep pace with market demands for innovative market solutions.

Homan, who joins as chief technical architect, will report to David Lester. Lester was brought in last year in the newly-created role of chief information officer to help strengthen Clara Furse's executive team.
