The London Stock Exchange has drafted in bankers from JPMorgan to help it fend off Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing’s £31.6bn bid.

Dwayne Lysaght, JPMorgan’s co-head of mergers and acquisitions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Edmund Byers, co-head of its UK business, have joined the roster of LSE advisers, according to people familiar with the matter.
