The London Stock Exchange Group is widening an initiative to help European small and medium-sized enterprises raise capital, the latest in a series of moves by exchanges to encourage private firms towards capital markets.

Its ELITE programme was previously only open to businesses in the UK and Italy. It has worked with over 200 companies since its launch in April, the LSE said in a statement.
