LSE shrugs off Euronext price war

The London stock exchange has claimed it is still offering a cheaper service to trade Dutch equities despite a 30% cut in fees by its main rival Euronext which was formally announced on Thursday.

A spokesman for the LSE said that its Dutch platform, EuroSets, which is due to launch next month, would offer trading which is still cheaper than Euronext even after its latest round of cuts.
