LSE valued at £653m on first day of trading

The London Stock Exchange was valued at £653m (€1.06bn) when shares in the exchange ended trading at £22 on their first day.

An LSE spokesman said that the exchange was pleased with the level of interest on its first day of trading. But the stock ended the day 21% below the opening price of £28. In total, 296.3 million shares changed hands.
