Fees from advising on mergers and acquisitions have helped Numis Securities to post record revenues for its latest financial year, with its CEO hoping the UK broker and corporate finance house will become a "suitable home" for investment bankers looking for their next role.

In its results for the 12 months to September 30, Numis Corp, the holding company of Numis Securities, reported a 6% rise in revenue to a new high of £98 million. Pre-tax profit rose by 7% year-on-year to £32.7 million, adjusted for factors including charges related to employee share scheme arrangements.
