Jaap Maasen, director of pensions and board member of the €156bn Dutch ABP pension fund, is to take over as chairman of the European Federation for Retirement Provision from Alan Pickering.

The federation represents pension funds that are responsible for occupational pension provision in 20 European Union member states and four non-member states.
