Majedie Asset Management has won a place in the UK equity fund of Russell Investment Group, the multi-manager specialists, an award worth around £130m (€185m) to the new investment boutique.

Russell has handed Majedie one tenth of the assets of its £1.3bn UK equity fund, which was launched in August 1996. Russell creates multi-manager portfolios by blending a number of fund managers together.
