Northern Trust Global Investments has appointed Majedie Asset Management to co-run a new fund less than a week after the UK equity investment house won its first institutional client.

Majedie will run the growth portion of Northern Trust's new aggressive UK equity fund while Mirabaud, a more established investment boutique, will manage value-oriented portfolio for the product.
