Charles Mamby, head of global telecoms at Goldman Sachs, and Simon Dingemans, a managing director, will lead the bank's relationship with mobile giant Vodafone after the departure of Scott Mead, the firm's chairman of global telecoms, media and technology (TMT).

Mead, who is very close to Chris Gent, the outgoing chief executive of Vodafone, will leave the US bank at the end of the month.
