Markit, the dealer-backed post trade and data specialist, is targeting six acquisitions and plans to hire up to 200 staff this year.

The firm, which operates the Boat data reporting platform, said it had already hired close to 50 staff so far this year, and planned to add a further 155 before the end of December, increasing total headcount by just over a third.
