Marsh UK found to be taking inducements

An investigation into the UK arm of Marsh & McLennan has discovered evidence that it was paid inducements to bring business to certain insurance underwriters. However, no evidence was found of bid-rigging.

The review of Marsh, by the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, found evidence of senior employees putting pressure on their brokers to maximise the so-called market service agreements.
