Martin Currie is pushing ahead with strengthening its teams by adding a new investment manager to its Asia team.

Vijaya Subramanian will be joining Martin Currie on November 28 from WI Carr as a strategist for Taiwan, Korea and India since 1997. Prior to this she worked with the JM Group in India (now JV partners of Morgan Stanley in India) for three years as a manager in its investment banking department. She will be visiting companies in India and Taiwan before moving from Hong Kong to join Martin Currie in Edinburgh on January 8 next year.
