Veteran China deal maker and former Lenovo Group executive Mary Ma has resigned from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s listing committee after taking up a role as the city’s financial regulator.

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing said Friday that Ma has relinquished her role following her appointment as a non-executive director of the Securities and Futures Commission, which was announced Thursday.
