Massachusetts helps boost Ashmore funds to $5bn

Ashmore Investment Management, the London-based emerging market debt specialist, has won a new $200m (€166m) mandate from the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, one of the US schemes which recently pulled a large amount of money from Putnam Investments.

Ashmore's assets under management have grown by almost $2bn since June and now approach $5bn.
