Murray Johnstone, the Glasgow-based fund manager which is being bought by Aberdeen Asset Managers for £150m, has lost Euan Matheson, its head of global emerging markets.

Matheson is joining Baring Asset Management as head of the global emerging markets desk, reporting to Michael Hughes, chief investment officer. He replaces Rory Landman, who left to join Thames River Capital in July.
