Matrix plans to cash in on affluent lawyers

Matrix Private Equity in the UK is hoping to raise £20m (€32m) from affluent lawyers in a novel fund which offers capital gains tax breaks.

The fund will take advantage of the UK Treasury's Enterprise Investment Scheme introduced in the UK last year to allow investors in unquoted companies the opportunity to defer paying capital gains tax indefinitely, by rolling it over into new investment.
