Mercer adds Italian investments head

Mercer, the pensions and benefits consultancy, is expanding its investment consulting business in Italy and has appointed its first Italian head of the division. It plans more local hires in the coming months.

Nicola Carcano, who joined as Italian head of investment consulting yesterday, was previously head of institutional asset management and banking relationships at BSI, the Lugano-based private bank owned by Italian insurer Generali.
