Merrill fails to clinch telecom sale but gains in oil and gas

Merrill Lynch has missed out on the latest government sale of shares in Telekom Austria but is leading a capital raising for OMV Aktiengesellschaft, the Austrian oil and gas company.

JP Morgan is sole global co-ordinator and joint bookrunner with Goldman Sachs of a €1.1bn sale of Telekom Austria shares by ÖIAG, the Austrian privatisation agency. JP Morgan is also adviser to ÖIAG.
