Merrill Lynch has hired Rahul Dhir, to join Richard Nourse as co-head of its energy and power business for Europe, the Middle East and Asia, in the latest in a series of hires by the US bank.

Last year Merrill lost Chris Baxter and Martin Falkner, former co-heads of the energy team and Nourse was promoted internally. Dhir was a former executive director at Morgan Stanley.
