Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s most senior UK investment banker has left the bank to join Barclays Capital, Financial News can reveal.

Richard Taylor, who was promoted earlier this year to head of UK and Ireland corporate and investment banking at the US bank, has handed in his notice, according to sources close to the situation.
