Merrill's ECM vice chairman Jensen to retire

John Jensen, vice chairman of equity capital markets at Merrill Lynch, is retiring at the end of December after 31 years with the firm.

Jensen, 53, started his career in 1970 at White, Weld & Co which was acquired by Merrill in 1978. He initiated and managed the institutional syndicate marketing department in 1982, which together with equity syndicate, formed the basis of the bank's current equity capital markets division.
