Nick Slater is leaving the UK institutional client group at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers to join WestLB Asset Management.

Slater, who was a consultant with William M Mercer before joining Mercury Asset Management, will be WestLB's European consultant relationship manager. Luke Nunneley, global head of marketing, said that Slater would be responsible for co-ordinating the contact points with consultants in Europe, as well as those in the UK market.
