MFS International, the ex-US arm of the $168bn (€131bn) Boston-based manager, has hired a sales and business development manager from Barclays Global Investors to grow its book of UK financial institution clients.

Rash Patel joins MFS from Barclays Global Investors, where he spent six years. He was an institutional client director for five years and spent the last year focused on business development in the financial institutions group.
