UK environment secretary Michael Gove was paid £5,000 to give a speech to UK buyout house Bridgepoint, putting him among a number of British politicians who have recently disclosed payments from private investment firms.
Gove's speech to investors at Bridgepoint's annual general meeting in April was disclosed in the UK Parliament's latest register of members’ interests. Gove, who campaigned for Brexit, used the speech to talk about the UK's future outside the European Union, according to a person familiar with the matter.
