One of London’s most high-profile investment bankers is retiring from the US bank after more than 30 years

Michael Sherwood, a Goldman Sachs veteran tipped as potential leader of the Wall Street bank, has stepped down from his role running its business in Europe.

Sherwood, currently vice-chairman and co-chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs International, has been with the bank for more than 30 years and is one of London's most high-profile investment bankers.
