US software giant Microsoft has appointed Anders Abrahamsson, a partner at Accenture in Zurich, to spearhead expansion of its financial services industry group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Abrahamsson, who spent 14 years at Accenture, working as a financial services consultant in Australia, German and France, joins as a managing director in Zurich to grow the banking, capital markets and insurance.
