Niklas Midby, executive vice president of OM and head of Stockholmbörsen, the Swedish Stock Exchange owned by OM, has decided that he no longer wants the job of chief financial officer of OM, despite accepting the position in October. Instead, he is to resign from the company in February.
Midby, who was a key figure in OM's October restructuring, said: "As the role of CFO has become more clearly defined it is clear that its function has moved closer to one that is purely financial in its scope. My interests in corporate management and development, as well as strategic investments, would have been difficult to combine with this type of role."
