Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has hired Louise Parker, a former Abbey National bond investor who left the bank when it pulled out of the junk market.

Parker, who worked at Abbey from mid-1998 until late last year and has 12 years' experience in the credit markets, joined the credit research team at MLIM last week. She will be responsible for the telecoms, media and cable sectors across the credit spectrum.
