One of the UK's most influential voices on corporate governance is to leave his job at the Association of British Insurers to advise a government regulator, which is set to launch a new code of conduct for all UK companies.

Peter Montagnon will take on the new role of senior investment adviser to the FRC, the UK government's regulator for corporate reporting and overseer of the Combined Code, a set of standards that all companies in the UK are held to.
