Moody's upgrades Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns

Moody's Investors Service has upgraded Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers following a strong performance in investment banking and capital markets in 2003.

Moody's raised its long-term credit ratings of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers by one notch from A2 to A1 on Wednesday, concluding a review that started after the banks reported their second quarter results.
