Morgan Stanley and UBS, two prominent but impaired players in the lucrative business of selling banking services to hedge funds, are swapping top executives.

Stuart Hendel is in final negotiations to join UBS in New York as global head of prime services, say people familiar with the matter. Two months ago he left the same job at Morgan Stanley.
