Morgan Stanley has brought in Vincent Reinhart as its new chief US economist. Reinhart joins from the American Enterprise Institute, the Washington-based think tank, where he was a resident scholar. He has held a number of senior positions at the US Federal Reserve, including secretary and economist of the Federal Open Market Committee.
