Whitbread, the UK hotels and leisure group, has called in Morgan Stanley to advise on the sale of 12 Marriott hotels as part of a broader £800m (€1.15bn) asset disposal.

Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein are listed as Whitbread's joint financial advisers.
