Morgan Stanley is starting legal proceedings against Lancer Partners, a US hedge fund in which it had a $15.6m (€14.3m) investment, after the fund failed to deliver a number of financial statements.

Lancer's flagship offshore fund fell by some 16% last year, according to analysts.
