Morley, the UK funds arm of insurer Aviva, has made its second appointment to the credit portfolio management team it restructured in April this year, after hiring from US funds group Hartford Investment Management.

Alison Murdoch, a credit portfolio manager at Hartford and previously at Abbey National Asset Managers since 1999, will focus on running Morley's institutional credit portfolios. She starts at Morley this month and will report to Roger Webb, head of portfolio management.
