Ruffer, the London-based investment firm with £1.7bn (€2.5bn) under management, has hired Philip Morris from Barclays Private Bank to the newly created position of investment director.

Morris was chief investment officer at Barclays overseeing approximately £6bn (€8.7bn) of funds.
