Seymour Pierce, the UK broker, is in takeover talks with Jon Moulton, the high-profile head of Alchemy Partners, the private equity group, and Nigel Wray, the property entrepreneur and stock market veteran.

The two have proposed a management buy-out (MBO) of the firm.
