HSBC appoints global head of leveraged and acquisition finance
HSBC has announced the appointment of Ray Doody as global head of leveraged & acquisition finance within the bank’s global banking and markets unit. Doody joins from JP Morgan where he had led the acquisition and leveraged finance business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since 2008. During his 20 years with JP Morgan, Doody was instrumental in the growth of the Emea leveraged finance business, with deals including ChemChina’s purchase of Pirelli, Glazer’s acquisition of Manchester United and the financing of the Numericables acquisition of SFR.
UniCredit strengthens corporate and investment banking
UniCredit has announced senior appointments in Asia and in France across its corporate and investment banking network. Simon Tutt was appointed Singapore branch manager, taking over from Albert Kong who has left the bank. Amit Roy was appointed chief representative, Mumbai, and Constance Au was appointed head of Asian multinational corporates, south Asia, based in Singapore. In Paris, Florence Blazy joined UniCredit as senior banker for the coverage of French large corporate clients of UniCredit Group, including corporates, financial sponsors, and financial institutions.
