The Italian market has launched its first index for hedge funds, highlighting a growing trend across Europe for increased transparency and performance measurement in the hedge fund industry.

The MondoHedge indices, created by MPS Alternative Investment, an Italian asset management house dedicated to alternative investments, are designed to track the performance of the growing Italian hedge fund sector and increase its levels of transparency.
