Financial benchmark giant MSCI has appointed Sandy Rattray, a co-founder of Wall Street's fear index, the Vix, as one of two new independent board directors.

Rattray and Paula Volent, CIO of Bowdoin College in Maine, will take up their posts on 26 February, according to a statement.
