MSCI, the investment performance benchmark provider, will replace its current total return methodolgy of month-end dividend re-investment with daily total returns (DTR).

The new DTR index series will be calculated and distributed on a daily basis. MSCI says that the new dividend methodology is a more accurate reflection of the marketplace, accounting for dividends the day the securities become ex-dividend.
