MTS appoints ex-Consob chief as chairman

MTS, the Italian government bond market rocked by the Citigroup "Dr Evil" trades two years ago, has appointed the former head of the Italian regulator as its chairman after the incumbent quit after six months.

Luigi Spaventa replaces Ernesto Monti, who leaves after six months to take up an advisory role to the Italian government..
